Colombian Rueda becomes Honduras coach

In a ceremony featuring President Manuel Zelaya, Colombian Reinaldo Rueda was officially named as the Honduras soccer coach on Thursday through the qualifiers for the 2010 World Cup.
However, Rueda, who previously coached Colombia, will not take the reins of Honduras until after the Central American Nations Cup next month in El Salvador, where the team will be under interim manager Jose de la Paz Herrera, a lawmaker and former coach.
That tournament is a qualifying event for the CONCACAF Gold Cup.
Previous Honduras coach Flavio Ortega of Brazil had to leave the job this month after suffering a brain aneurism.
