United Nations urges Singapore not to execute Nigerian drug trafficker

The United Nations joined the Nigerian president and human rights groups in a last-ditch attempt on Thursday to save a Nigerian man facing the gallows for heroin trafficking.
But Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong reiterated his nation's stance against drugs and said there were no new grounds to reconsider the case of Iwuchukwu Amara Tochi, who is to be executed by hanging on Friday morning.
