Singer-actress Brandy involved in four-car crash that killed 1

R&B singer Brandy was involved in a four-car crash last month that left a 38-year-old woman dead, authorities said Wednesday.
The cause of the Dec. 30 crash was under investigation, and no arrests have been made. The death was ruled an accident.
The 27-year-old, whose real name is Brandy Norwood, failed to slow down and struck the back of a car at about 65 mph (104 kph), according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The car, driven by Awatef Aboudihaj, hit another vehicle and slid sideways before it struck a center divider and then was hit by an oncoming car, the report said.
Aboudihaj died at a hospital of blunt force injuries, said Craig Harvey, the county coroner's spokesman.
The singer was not injured, and she was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time, said her publicist Courtney Barnes.
"She wishes to publicly express her condolences to the family of the deceased," Barnes said in a statement.
A message left for a CHP spokesman was not immediately returned Wednesday.
Norwood has made five albums and earned a Grammy in 1999. She has acted for film and television, starring on the sitcom "Moesha" from 1996-2001 and most recently as a judge for NBC's "America's Got Talent."
