Hsieh and Strycova’s 6-4, 6-2 win over Stosur and Zhang over 61 minutes is the second time since 2014 Hsieh has made it to the Madrid Open semi-final for doubles match.

The pair will be up against Veronika Kudermetova (Russia) and Galina Voskoboeva (Kazakhstan) at 19:45 local time.
