TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — The American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) will provide consular services and answer relevant questions in Chiayi County on May 17.
Services available on May 17 include passport renewal, acquisition of a consular reports of birth abroad for a newborn, as well as document authentication, said AIT’s Kaohsiung branch on Friday (April 26) via a press statement.
Services will be offered from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the second-floor lobby of the Executive Yuan’s Southwest Taiwan Joint Services Center.
AIT reminds people that cash, personal checks, or credit cards are not acceptable on that day. The AIT can only accept local bank drafts payable to the “American Institute in Taiwan.”
In addition, portrait photos with eyeglasses or contact lenses that alter the iris in any way will not be accepted for passport use. For further inquiries, please refer to the AIT Kaohsiung Branch Office.
