TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Taiwan’s annual gift and stationery expo has attracted representatives from a host of international allies this year.
Giftionery Taipei 2019, which runs from today (Thursday, April 18) until Sunday, is holding host to over 350 local businesses across 500 different stalls, the United Daily reported. Additionally, manufacturers from 10 foreign countries are selling their products at the event.
The theme of this year’s expo has four main axes: “most sincere,” “most creative,””most powerful” and “most practical.” Over 1,000 items are on sale that exhibit developments in creative technology and electronics with international design flair.
The expo features a Central American Pavilion, which is hosting manufacturers from Nicaragua and Guatemala. Richly woven art, wax candles, backpacks, wallets and keyrings account for some of the products on display, according to UDN.
Taiwan’s investment agency in eSwatini has procured 12 business groups to exhibit their items at the expo, which include skin products made from marula tree oil, hand-dyed fabrics made of cotton, hemp and silk, and stylish home accessories.
Folk art handicrafts are available for purchase from Japanese retailers, as per usual at the event, alongside products from Korea, Hong Kong, Bhutan, Nepal, Oman and Peru, according to UDN.
The exhibition is taking place in Hall 1 of the Taipei World Trade Center.
