TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – Matsu National Scenic Area Administration (MNSAA) has organized a series of guided tours in April for individual travelers to visit the most celebrated attraction on Taiwan’s Matzu Islands: Qinbi Village (芹壁聚落).

Qinbi is on the west coast of Beigan Island, part of Matsu Islands, located not far from the coast of southern China’s Fuzhou City.

Visitors can either fly or take the Taima Star ship (台馬之星) from Keelung Port to Nangan (南竿), and then take an interisland ferry to Beigan.

The MNSAA is offering six free guided tours in April for individual visitors to explore the architecture, culture, and history of the traditional eastern Fujian settlement.

The six guided tours in Chinese language are scheduled for 10 a.m. every Wednesday and Saturday, from April 10 to April 27, the MNSAA said. Appropriate adjustments will be made if there is inclement weather, the agency added. The maximum number of individual travelers for each tour is 20.

The April 10 tour is now open to register online. Interested parties should click this link to do so.

The MNSAA would also like to remind participants to be on time as the tour guide will start promptly. All the tour guides are members of MNSAA’s Beigan office.

The tour meeting place is the landscape stone at the entrance of Qinbi Village.
