TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – In its highest ranking ever, Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport was named the 13th best airport in the world, up two places from last year, according to the Skytrax quality review.
The survey rated about 550 airports based on the opinions of 13.5 million travelers from more than 100 countries, the Liberty Times reported.
Finishing on top for an unprecedented seventh year running was Singapore’s Changi Airport, ahead of Tokyo’s Haneda and Seoul’s Incheon. Doha in Qatar took the No.4, while Hong Kong International Airport was rated No.5, the Liberty Times reported.
According to the Skytrax list, Taoyuan was the 8th best airport in Asia, while its immigration procedures put it at No.4 worldwide. Taiwan’s main airport rated as No.7 for its staff and baggage delivery, and No.8 for cleanliness and security processing.
