The Bitan water show event will run from March 8 through April 30, with a 6-minute presentation showing on the hour and on the half hour between 6:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. (6:00 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 7:00 p.m., 7:30 p.m., 8:00 p.m., 8:30 p.m.) every night during the event period.

The content of the water shows is designed by the same team that designed the water shows for this year’s Taiwan Lantern Festival in Pingtung, the TTD said. Colorful lights and well-known domestic and foreign tunes will be presented to accompany the international-caliber dancing water shows, the department said.

High-pressure nozzles to be used in the upcoming shows are designed to be able to shoot water 30 meters high into the air and make sounds similar to fireworks displays, creating powerful momentum, the TTD said.

A water curtain effect created by nozzles that are new to the country will also make its debut in this year’s event, which will last for 54 days, the department said, adding that it expects the dancing water presentation that alternates splendor with elegance to attract a great number of domestic and foreign visitors.

Visitors can take a stroll on the famous Bitan Suspension bridge, and hop into a paddle boat by the river for a relaxing ride surrounded by the Hemei Mountain area. There are also many restaurants and food vendors located around the banks.
