TAIPEI (Taiwan News) -- A doctor has been caught on camera sexually assaulting a migrant worker while she was undergoing an abortion procedure at his clinic in Taoyuan, Taiwan, and he is suspected of abusing many more over the course of years, reported Liberty Times.

Lin Chin-jen (林勤人), a 61-year-old physician and owner of Doctor Altus Obstetrics and Gynecology in Taoyuan's Zhongli District, has been accused of using an excessive dosage of anesthetic on a female migrant worker before undergoing an abortion to first sexually assault her in April last year. Lin's wife captured the doctor in the act of assaulting the victim with a concealed camera, and after being confronted by police, Lin confessed to the crime and was today charged with aggravated forcible sexual intercourse (強制性交罪).

Lin's wife recently began to notice that her husband was suspiciously giving his patients an excessive amount of anesthetic, so she decided to set up a pinhole camera in the operating room to observe his behavior. At 11 a.m. on April 28, Lin prepared to perform an abortion on a 30-year-old patient.

He knew that only 10 cc of anesthetic was need to anesthetize the patient, but he injected her with 13 cc. Once the victim lost consciousness, Lin told his daughter, who works at the clinic as a nurse, to leave the operating room.

Lin then commenced to lick the woman's lower body, molest her, and rape her, before actually starting the abortion procedure. After Lin's wife reviewed the footage, she was shocked to witness his depraved act and reported it to police.

When police were able to locate the immigrant woman and notify her that she had been sexually assaulted, she was shocked and bitterly complained, "taking advantage of others in a vulnerable condition, truly wicked!"

After police showed Lin footage of his heinous crime, he confessed that he indeed gave her an excessive dose of 13 cc of anesthetic to prolong the operation enough to enable him to sexually assault the victim. The Taoyuan Prosecutor's Office is now charging him with aggravated forcible sexual intercourse.

When reporters from Apple Daily visited the clinic today, the signs had already been removed from the exterior of the building, but his name and office hours were still posted on the front sliding door. Neighbors said that most of the patients at the clinic are migrant workers, and although the sign says "Gynecology and Obstetrics," they rarely saw pregnant women that appeared to be in the later stages of pregnancy.

Neighbors said that Lin and his wife frequently argued, and, on one occasion, Lin chased his wife out of the office. She then headed to a nearby shop to ask for help, they said.

Lin made the signs for the clinic bilingual to attract a broader clientele. In a screenshot of the clinic from Google Maps, the English on the maroon sign at the top reads "Doctor Altus Obstetrics and Gynecology," while the blue sign at the lower right hand corner reads "Painless Abortion Gynecology and Obstetrics."

Photos of the front entrance also show that the clinic's hours were listed in Chinese and English, and set to match times when migrant workers usually have time off from their factories, such as Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
