Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed the country in his annual state-of-the-nation speech and called for social and economic development.
Saying that people need to feel that the government cares about them, he listed a number of steps the government will take to improve people's lives. Among those are tax breaks for people with children, raising pensions above minimum wage for elderly and increasing people's access to health care.
