LOS ANGELES (AP) — Justin Thomas and Adam Scott completed the second round in frigid weather at Riviera by each making a birdie for rounds of 6-under 65 that left them tied for the early lead in the second round of the Genesis Open.

The 36-hole cut won't be made until Saturday afternoon because of rain that delayed the start of the tournament on Thursday.

Tiger Woods made a 25-foot birdie putt on his final hole for a 71 that at least gave him a chance to make the cut, but he was 10 shots behind.

Thomas could barely feel his toes in temperatures in the low 40s when he resumed the second round. He nearly holed out with a 9-iron on No. 5 for birdie and made pars on the other holes.
