'Pigs' go free at Taipei Children's Amusement Park this Lunar New Year

The parks offers free entry for those born during the year of the Pig

TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Taipei Children’s Amusement Park is offering free entry between Feb. 5 and Feb. 7 for those born during the year of the Pig.

A notice was issued on the city government website to inform park-goers that starting on the first day of the Lunar New Year, anyone able to present a valid form of photo I.D. that confirms they were born during the year of the Pig can enjoy the rides and festive celebrations free of charge.

In addition to the promotion, the Chinese God of Wealth will make an appearance at the park to host special prize giveaways at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. on each of the upcoming three days. There will also be magic shows and other seasonal activities bound to keep children entertained for hours.

One of the current highlights of the park is the “virtual reality kingdom” which utilizes VR technology to create a magical, entertaining experience for visitors. There are also several discount promotions on merchandise including buy-one-get-one-free on commemorative photo mugs.

Taipei Children’s Amusement Park is located just off the riverside park near Zhishan MRT station and can be accessed via Section 5 of Chengde Road (承德路5段).
