Taiwan’s Tainan releases a video promoting winter tourism

TAIPEI (Taiwan News) –What’s the color of Tainan City in your mind’s eye? When many areas in Taiwan are overcast most of the time in winter, Tainan’s Bureau of Tourism recently released a video titled “TainanTone” to portray the city as a place with rich colors and tones in winter, according to a news release posted by the agency on Friday.

For example, the video shows that the historic sites in the city are of warm colors, the natural landscapes are of green colors, and the works of land art are of cool colors.

The hyperlapse technique was used for the shooting of the video, which began in October last year, the release stated.

The attractions featured in the video include Sihcao Green Tunnel, Chimei Museum, Tainan Theological College and Seminary, Ten Drum Culture Village, Jing Zhai Jiao Tile Paved Salt Fields, Shennong Street, Blueprint Cultural & Creative Park, Tainan Flower Night Market, Tainan Canal, landmark historic sites, oven-baked longan fruit in Dongshan District, silver grass in Danei District, and migratory birds in Beimen District.

TainanTone has been viewed more than 700,000 times since its release a few days ago, the agency said, urging viewers to arrange a trip to Tainan soon to immerse themselves in the colors of winter belonging to the city.
