A secret place to enjoy colorful deciduous pine trees: Taipei's Jhihcheng Park

TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – While walking in a grove of deciduous pine trees and looking up at their golden and reddish brown leaves, for a moment you will feel like you are in a European country. There is a place in Taipei’s Shilin District that will bring you that kind of illusion at this time of year, according to the city’s Parks and Street Lights Office (PSLO).

PSLO director Huang Li-yuan (黃立遠) said that there are many tall deciduous pine trees in Jhihcheng Park (至誠公園), located between streets and to the west of the beginning of Yangde Blvd (仰德大道), which is the main thoroughfare to Yangmingshan National Park. Huang said that, when the fall comes, the trees' leaves will begin to change colors, reminding people of the change of seasons. It’s soothing to your mind and body to walk among the towering and colorful deciduous pine trees and feel the coolness in the air, the director added.

Have you been oblivious of the change of nature in response to the change of seasons for a long time because you are leading a busy life? If so, why not go to Jhihcheng Park with your family or friends during the coming holiday, stroll among the beautiful trees, and enjoy the season-limited scenery.
