TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – Popular chat app Line will launch an automated customer service program in Chinese next year, reported CNA.
The automated program will answer user questions in real time, and hopes to provide a higher level of service in partnership with human staff.
The announcement was made at the LINE TAIWAN TechPulse 2018 conference in Taipei on Dec. 21, where Line released a host of new features and tools for developers.
Marco Chen (陳鴻嘉), Technical Director at Line Taiwan told CNA that Line Taiwan had developed the program from scratch this year, and has worked hard to ensure user questions are accurately answered by the program.
Chen added that the performance of the program has significantly improved in recent months.
The underlying software has the potential to be used in a wide range of additional products and services, like finding suitable financial services, said Chen.
