Laporte recalls Chabal and Poitrenaud for Six Nations tournament

France coach Bernard Laporte recalled No. 8 Sebastien Chabal and fullback Clement Poitrenaud in his 40-man squad Thursday for the Six Nations tournament.
Laporte also named four rookies _ hooker Benoit August, prop Laurent Emmanuelli, center Romain Cabannes and fullback Anthony Floch _ for Les Tricolores' title defense which begins against Italy in Rome on Feb. 3.
With the World Cup starting in September, Laporte selected Thomas Castaignede despite the fullback missing for the next month with an injured right thigh.
Lock Fabien Pelous returns from an ankle injury and continues as captain. If Pelous plays against Italy he will equal former center Philippe Sella's French record of 111 test caps.
Hooker Dimitri Szarzewski (knee) and flanker Remy Martin (thumb) are expected to resume training next week. Both were injured in France's 26-25 win over Argentina in November.
