TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – In conjunction with the opening of the 7.3km Green Mountain Line of the Danhai Light Rail transit system in Tamsui District, New Taipei City on Dec. 23, nine YouBike station will be in operation along the line, according to a news release posted by New Taipei City’s Transportation Department on Dec 20.
Four of the planned nine YouBike stations along the light rail line have been in operation, the agency said, adding that three other stations will join the service beginning at 12:00 a.m. on Dec. 21.
The four YouBike stations already operational are located at the four Green Mountain Line stations—Hongshulin, Danjin Beixin, Tamshui District Office, and Binhai Yishan.
The three YouBike stations to be open on Friday are located at the three light rail stations of Binhai Shalun, Danhai New Town, and Kanding, the agency said, adding that each of the three YouBike stations will have a capacity of 30 bicycles.
The remaining two other YouBike stations will open in the near future, the agency added.
