TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – Taipei Metro is holding a series of Christmas parties at the Jazz Square between MRT Zhongshan Station and Shuanglian Station over the weekends of Dec. 15 and Dec. 23.

As part of a facelift of MRT Zhongshan Shuanglian Belt Park this year, the Jazz Square has reopened, filled to the brim with festive decorations and flowers at the advent of the Christmas season.

On Dec. 15, 16, 22, and 23, the Jazz Square will start buzzing with activity at 2 p.m., when exotic food stalls and a creative merchandise marketplace enlivens the venue. Visitors are invited to bring their own picnic mats to relish in the afternoon party.

Live music performances will commence at 3:30 p.m., featuring bands and singers such as Eagle Baby Band, Yo Lee, Maffine, Arrow Wei, Sabrina Lo, Jiang Song-lin, and Accusefive. Note: Performances will start at 5:30 on Dec. 22 as the day is a designated work day.

The venue will transform into an outdoor cinema at nightfall when huge LED screens start playing music-themed films, including La Land, Begin Again, Mamma Mia!, and The Greatest Showman.
