TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – Leofoo Village Theme Park in Hsinchu County is celebrating the Christmas season with a Santa Claus coming from the North Pole for a month’s long stay, a silver white Christmas town, and 40% discount admission for visitors who are wearing a red or green upper outer garment, according to a news release issued by the park on Saturday.

The park’s marketing manager Sophia Yeh (葉益亨) said Santa Claus had come to Leofoo Village and is staying at the home of Leofoo Village mascots Happy and Honey. To make Santa feel at home, the park has turned the park's Wild West area into a snow white world, Yeh said. Except for Monday, when Santa goes out to give out presents, visitors will be able to visit Santa’s home to interact and take photos with him.

Leofoo Village’s silver white Christmas town, which was introduced for the first time last year, is decorated with a snow white Christmas village, Christmas trees, and other Christmas arrangements, the news release said. There will also be the highly anticipated activities of parades to create a make-believe fairyland, according to the release, which also stated that when snow bubbles begin to drift and fall, visitors will be amazed by the white stuff and the Christmas spirit that is everywhere.

Yeh said the park has launched a discount activity designed for the Christmas season, offering a special admission price of NT$599, whereas the original price for adults is NT$999, to visitors who come wearing a red or green upper outer garment having an area exceeding 90% in either color, from now to Jan. 1, 2019.
