PSV moves eleven points clear atop the Dutch league

PSV Eindhoven beat ADO The Hague 2-1 Saturday for its 14th victory in 15 league games and extended its lead to 11 points atop the Dutch Eredivisie.
Patrick Kluivert's 33rd-minute goal and Jefferson Farfan's second-half strike improved PSV to 53 points with its 17th win of the season and extended its unbeaten run to 18 league games. Wesley Verhoek scored a 78th-minute goal for ADO.
With the Eredivisie heading into a 20-day winter break, Ajax was held to a 2-2 draw at NEC Nijmegen and remained in second with 42 points. AZ Alkmaar has 40 points and could climb past Ajax with a victory at home against Roda JC.
Feyenoord climbed past FC Twente into fourth with 39 points after beating Excelsior 3-1 in the Rotterdam derby on Friday.
Also Saturday, it was: SC Heerenveen 0, FC Utrecht 0; Sparta Rotterdam 3, FC Twente 0 and RKC Waalwijk 0, FC Groningen 2.
In Amsterdam, Kenneth Perez returned from a five-match suspension for racially abusing match official Nicky Siebert on Nov. 19 to score Ajax's first goal in the 62nd minute.
In the 76th, Romano Denneboom took a pass from Edgar Barreto to volley past Ajax goalkeeper Dennis Gentenaar and equalized for NEC.
Two minutes later, Peter Wisgerhof put NEC 2-1 up with a header on a free kick by Andrzej Niedzielan.
But Belgium winger Tom de Mul set up Gabri to score for Ajax's equalizer in the 80th.
On Friday in Rotterdam, Danny Buys, Stein Huysegems and Nicky Hofs scored for Feyenoord while substitute Johan Voskamp scored a consolation goal for Excelsior in the 81st.
