South Africa sets India 354 to win second test

South Africa declared at 265 runs for eight wickets on Friday to set India 354 to win on day four of the second test.
India was on 18-1 at tea, needing another 336 runs to win, with Wasim Jaffer undefeated on 6 and Rahul Dravid not out on 1.
India's Virender Sehwag was caught by Graeme Smith at slip for 8 off Makhaya Ntini.
Shaun Pollock scored an undefeated 63 to set up South Africa's declaration. Pollock shared in a partnership of 70 with Andrew Hall (21) for the seventh wicket and 52 with Morne Morkel (27) for the eighth.
Earlier, the good start by openers Smith and A.B. de Villiers was undone by six quick wickets before lunch. South Africa collapsed from 99-0 to 143-6 at the Kingsmead Stadium.
Resuming on 64-0, Smith and De Villiers were one run short of a 100-opening partnership before De Villiers (47) was caught by V.V.S. Laxman at second slip off Vikram Singh.
Hashim Amla (0) was out leg-before-wicket to Sree Sreesanth, who bowled Smith for 59 and had Ashwell Prince (0) caught by Sourav Ganguly three balls later to leave South Africa on 121-4.
Herschelle Gibbs was caught by substitute fielder Dinesh Karthik at short cover for 9 off Anil Kumble. Zaheer Khan had Mark Boucher lbw for 8 with the Proteas on 143-6.
Pollock's 63 came off 99 balls with 10 fours.
Sreesanth was the pick of the bowlers with 4-80.
South Africa scored 328 in its first innings and bowled out India for 240.
India leads the three-test series 1-0. Saturday is the last day of the second test.
