Bangladesh political alliance says it will blockade roads to demand government's neutrality

A major political alliance announced Friday it will blockade roads across Bangladesh on Jan. 7-8 to demand the government's neutrality in upcoming elections.
Former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who heads the alliance, told reporters it would stage the protest because of concerns that the interim government was not being neutral.
She also threatened to boycott the Jan. 22 elections if there was no "congenial atmosphere" for joining the polls.
