Collina to advise Italy's referees

Former referee Pierluigi Collina has been appointed as an adviser to Italy's match officials.
"Preparing the referees is just as important as assigning them for games," Collina said.
Cesare Gussoni has also been appointed to assign match officials and will work with Collina. The Italian soccer federation announced both jobs on Thursday.
Collina will work as a soccer commentator for Italy's Sky TV and the Sole 24 Ore newspaper.
"We found a formula that satisfies everyone," Collina told the Apcom news agency.
Collina, who was considered the best Italian referee and one of the best in the world, retired from refereeing in August 2005 following a dispute over a sponsorship deal.
