Kimberly Shepard got just what she wanted for Christmas, white stuff covering her front yard. Well, it wasn't exactly snow, but it was white.
On Christmas Eve, Shepard's daughter, Courtney Shepard, and James Fontone shoveled two loads of flaky ice from behind Everett Arena, remnants of a Zamboni ice cleaning at the skating rink, into a truck and spread it over the yard.
Kimberly Shepard and her partner arrived home from a party to find the white Christmas she wanted.
Courtney Shepard said this was her first Christmas away from home and she wanted to do something special for her mother, who works with welfare recipients.
"It made my whole Christmas season," Kimberly Shepard said.
