Rangers loses 2-1 to Inverness to stay third in Scottish Premier League

Rangers lost to Inverness Caledonian Thistle 2-1 in the Scottish Premier League on Wednesday, with John Rankin scoring the winner in injury time.
It was the second win by Inverness over Rangers this season, and left the Old Firm club in third place in the standings. Inverness moved up to eighth and ended a nine-match winless streak.
Rangers took the lead through a penalty kick from Nacho Novo in the 22nd minute, earned when Inverness' Roy McBain pushed Barry Ferguson. Darren Dods leveled for Inverness in the 41st before Rankin's late winner.
Inverness also won 1-0 win at Ibrox in October.
Celtic leads the league with 52 points from 21 games, followed by Aberdeen with 37, and Rangers on 35.
