Black-faced spoonbill watching in Tainan

As the black-faced spoonbills come to Taiwan to spend the winter in October-January, some 1,000 of these endangered species have already been sighted along the coast of Tainan county.
The Tainan County Government invites the public to come to Chiku to view these rare birds. Bird-watching tour activities are now offered. The one-day trip, including visiting Chiku Lake, the Salt Mountain and the Salt Museum, is priced at NT$150 and available from December 16, 2006 to March 17, 2007.
