South Africa wins toss and bats against India in second test

South African captain Graeme Smith won the toss Tuesday and elected to bat in the second of three tests against India.
India won the first test by 123 runs.
India made no changes to its side while South Africa's Andrew Hall replaced all-rounder Jacques Kallis who has a sore back. Young fast bowler Morne Morkel replaced Dale Steyn (thigh).
In the other change to South Africa's lineup, Herschelle Gibbs was dropped down the batting order, and A.B. de Villiers promoted to open with the out-of-form Smith.
