EVIAN-LES-BAINS, France (AP) — Tour rookie Maria Torres shot a 2-under 69 Friday to take a two-stroke clubhouse lead in the second round of the Evian Championship.
With players still on the course, the 23-year-old Puerto Rican finished at 8-under 134 overall. Major winners Georgia Hall (68) and So Yeon Ryu (69) were among four players at 6 under.
Top-ranked Sung Hyun Park (71) looked sure to miss the cut at 6 over.
Starting early in the rain as co-leader, Torres made bogeys on her first two holes before settling in with three birdies in the next five.
Carlota Ciganda, who also shot a 65 on Thursday, birdied her first hole on Friday to get to 7 under overall but still was on the course.
