LOS ANGELES (AP) — Before he began representing porn actress Stormy Daniels in her legal fight against the president, Michael Avenatti was virtually unknown.
But in less than six months, the sharp-witted litigator has skyrocketed to becoming a household name as one of President Donald Trump's chief critics.
In just the last week, Avenatti bounced from accepting a legal award, to litigating in a Los Angeles courtroom, to visiting children in New York City separated from their parents at the border and protesting Trump in London.
Avenatti, it seems, is everywhere.
With a media style only paralleled by Trump, the no-holds-barred lawyer has pursued the president relentlessly.
Last week he tweeted he'd run against Trump if the president seeks re-election and no one else with a good chance of defeating him steps up.
