DAKAR, Senegal (AP) — Senegal has named its final 23-man squad for the World Cup, with Liverpool forward Sadio Mane leading a group that also includes key defender Kalidou Koulibaly of Napoli and midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate of West Ham.

Coach Aliou Cisse, the captain of the 2002 Senegal team that reached the quarterfinals in the country's only previous World Cup appearance, also gambled on Thursday on Monaco winger Keita Balde, out injured, and Anderlecht defender Kara Mbodji, who is on his way back from injury.

The 20-year-old Rennes winger Ismaila Sarr also made the final squad.

Senegal faces Poland, Japan and Colombia in the group stage in Russia.
