SEBEWAING, Mich. (AP) — Police say they believe two people were killed at a Michigan home before the person responsible fatally shot himself.
State police Lt. Dave Kaiser says the Sebewaing Police Department is leading the investigation into the deaths, which were discovered early Thursday.
Sebewaing police Chief Bill Owens tells the Huron Daily Tribune of Bad Axe that a well-being check was conducted after a resident was trying to reach people at the home and couldn't get in touch with them.
Details about the dead weren't immediately released by police, but Kaiser told MLive.com that the suspected assailant fatally shot himself.
The home is in the Sebewaing area, about 95 miles (152 kilometers) north of Detroit. Owens says state police investigators were at the scene Thursday.
