TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – Weather will drop considerably this weekend with the mercury to dip to 15 degrees Celsius as the strong northeasterly winds will affect Taiwan, according to the Central Weather Bureau (CWB).

CWB forecaster Li Meng-hsuan (李孟軒) said Taiwan will be hit by the strongest wave of cold air so far this autumn by this weekend with the mercury to dip to around 15 degrees in northern Taiwan and 17-18 degrees in central and southern Taiwan.

Meanwhile, weather on Tuesday and Wednesday will remain cool and wet with daytime highs in northern Taiwan ranging from 22-25 degrees and 26-30 degrees in the rest of the country. However, the temperature will rise up to 30 degrees on Thursday and Friday before falling down over the weekend, Li said.
