TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – An official mobile app built by Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation (TRTC) is now offering free online magazines covering an array of topics, including travel, culture, fashion, and even astrology.

From now on, commuters and users can use the app to browse well-known publications, including Vogue, Elle, Muzik and many others as they like and all are free, said the TRTC.

The TRTC announced on October 12 that the updated version of its app has added a new section for content. In fact, the section titled “Online magazines” can be divided into two groups.

On the one hand, breaking news and current issues aggregated from various news sources are put in the “News” group. On the other hand, online publications, which are further classified by such topics as fashion, recreations, and online learning, can be found in the “Magazines”.

The app also offers information such as the estimated distance to nearby tourist attractions or commercial areas, as long as users share their location data with the app, according to the TRTC.
