Claims

  1. In order to receive the prize money, a winner must fill out the form on the back of the uniform invoice and present this with his or her ID card at any post office from 2017/10/06 to 2018/1/05. A winner need not collect the prize money in person. Such person as is entrusted by a winner to collect his or her prize money should present his or her own ID card along with the winning person's ID card and the winning uniform invoice at the post office in order to receive the prize money.
  2. If the uniform invoice receipt does not indicate the amount of the sale, the winner is not qualified to collect the prize money.
  3. If the buyer shown on the uniform invoice receipt is a government agency, state-run enterprise, public school, military unit or a business entity, t he winner is not qualified to collect the prize money.
  4. For winners of the fourth, third, second, first, grand or special prize, 20% withholding tax is levied on the prize.
  5. Each invoice may win only one prize.

  8. The winning numbers of the Non-Physical e-Invoice Award for Months 03-04 Year 2017 is announced on the eTax Portal on the website of the Ministry of Finance at http://invoice.etax.nat.gov.tw/.

The winning numbers for the top three prize categories are 33612092 for the Special Prize (winning NT$10 million for matching all the digits); 06840705 for the Grand Prize (winning NT$2 million for matching all the digits); and 12182003, 48794532, and 77127885 for the First Prize (winning NT$200,000 for matching all the digits from any of the three numbers).

The Second Prize (NT$40,000), Third Prize (NT$10,000), Fourth Prize (NT$4,000), Fifth Prize (NT$1,000), and Sixth Prize (NT$200) are all based on the First Prize winning numbers, with the Second Prize for matching the last seven digits from any of the first prize winning numbers, the Third Prize for matching the last six digits, and so forth.

The easiest prize to win, of course, is the NT$200 Sixth Prize for matching only the last three digits from any of the first prize winning numbers.

To increase chances of winning, three numbers were added as the Additional Sixth Prize for this issue—136, 873 and 474. The Additional Sixth Prize (NT$200) is won by matching the last three digits of a uniform invoice with any of the additional winning numbers.

For winners of the special, grand, first, second, third and fourth prize, a 20 percent withholding tax is levied on the prize.

In order to receive the prize money of this issue, a winner must fill out the form on the back of the uniform invoice and present it with his or her ID card at any post office from October 6, 2017 to January 5, 2018, the MOF said. NT$200 winners can also present the winning invoices to any of convenient stores around Taiwan, where they can either add the value to their payment cards or purchase merchandise of the equivalent value, but the value must not be less than NT$200 as no change will be given back.

The uniform-invoice lottery, better known as the Taiwan receipt lottery, is a form of state lottery managed by the MOF. The lottery, designed to boost tax revenues, was introduced on Jan. 1, 1951. The lottery has successfully encouraged locals to obtain receipts for every purchase made with businesses with a certain amount of monthly turnover.
