TRA launches ‘OhBear’ Puyuma Express tourist train


TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – In conjunction with the 2017 Taiwan Cycling Festival, the TRA launched an OhBear tourist Puyuma Express  daily service. The train, decorated with paintings of OhBear riding a bicycle around Taiwan, pulled out of Nangang Station on Friday after a ceremony on the platform to mark its launch.

It was the train's first journey from Nangang to Chaochou in Pingtung County since the "Oh Bear" promotion was launched and is being held in conjunction with the 2017 Taiwan Cycling Festival. 

The Puyuma Express will stop in Nangang, Taipei, Banqiao, Taoyuan, Hsinchu, Taichung, Changhua, Chiayi, Tainan, Kaohsiung, Pingtung, and Chaozhou, according to a joint statement by the Taiwan Railways Administration (TRA) and the Tourism Bureau.

After its first journey, the special train will start serving the Eastern and Western rail routes. The timetable for the OhBear tourist train will be announced on the official page of TRA and OhBear Facebook page. Information on the 2017 Cycling Festival can be found on
