19 institutes to participate in Taiwan higher education expo in India

Taiwanese prestigious institutes from a wide range of fields are expected to participate in the 7th THEE in Chennai

NEW DELHI (Taiwan News) -- Nineteen Taiwanese prestigious institutes from a wide range of fields are expected to participate in the 7th "Taiwan Higher Education Exposition" (THEE) to be held in Hilton Hotel in Chennai for two days from September 25 to 26, 2017.

The institutes participating this year include: Elite Study In Taiwan, Kaohsiung Medical University, Ming Chi University of Technology, Nanhua University, National Cheng Kung University, National Chiao Tung University, National Chung Hsing University, National Formosa University, National Kaohsiung Normal University, National Taiwan University, National Tsing Hua University, National Yunlin University of Science & Technology, National Chung Cheng University, Taipei Medical University, Taiwan Asia University, Tamkang University, University of Kang Ning, Yuan Ze University, and Chihlee University of Technology apart from the Taiwan Education Center (TEC) which is the organizer, 

The event, which used to coincide with the "EMMA (Electronics, Machinery & Molds, Auto Parts) Expo India" in Southern India, has since 2015 been curated independently.

'Organized by The Program Office of the TEC at National Tsing Hua University (NTHU), THEE is an excellent meeting point for students in India to learn more about the high quality and excellency of Taiwan higher education. Taiwan's higher education institutes will present their innovative and solid academic performance as well as introduce vocational and other programs to all Indian students," said Audrey An-Chi Chen, Senior Program Manager of TEC, which is supported by the Ministry of Education, Republic of China (Taiwan).

"Indian students can receive first-hand information, consult with the representatives of the institutes face-to-face and explore various departments and programs. Multitudinous scholarship opportunities and internship offers for international students are awaited for the discovery in the exposition," she added.

In order to introduce Taiwan in diverse respects, Forums around three topics, Higher Education, High-tech Industry, and Career opportunities in Taiwan, have been planned. Furthermore, corporations from Taiwan such as VOLKTEK will come directly to seek Indian web developers to support its Indian branch.

One can also win gifts at the Q&A Competition, besides Hilton Buffet, worth more than ₹2,000 (US$31), for those who visit at least eight stands.
