If salted caramel cheesecake, cinnamon rolls, brownies, carrot cake and guava cake are in your dessert vocabulary, then Heritage Bakery is the perfect place to pick up an assortment. Flavors perfect for the mom looking for American levels of sweetness.
2. Habibi Patisserie

Habibi Macarons come directly to Mom's door with a limited edition Mother's Day gift box with lychee, rose, vanilla, lavender, raspberry and strawberry macarons. Or you could make your own assorted box from over 20 flavors, including my favorite, salted caramel.
3. Season Cuisine Patisseriartism

Season Cuisine's desserts look almost too pretty to eat- from the Garden of Senses cake, with a brûléed crust and topped with fresh strawberries, blueberries and raspberries, to spumoni domes topped with fresh grapefruit.
4. Monteur 夢甜屋

Monteur's cakes are perfect for the mom who prefers minimal sweetness. Their baumkuchen roll cakes are beautifully packaged in gold or Tiffany blue boxes, and come in original, matcha or chocolate flavors.
5. Felicitas Patisserie

Felicitas Patisserie's cupcakes gorgeously double as a bouquet of edible roses, and they have individual cupcakes, as well as cakes that could be easily pass for a dozen roses.
6. Yu Chocolatier

Expand Mom's chocolate palate with Yu Chocolatier's artisanal chocolates, which come with ganache flavors with a Taiwanese influence, like sherry cask whiskey and smoked longan fruit, or oolong tea chocolate. Chocolate tarts, lemon tarts and daily confections are also available, as well whiskey pairings with chocolates in the shop.
7. Hong Yeh

Anyone who has a Taiwanese grandma has eaten a Hong Yeh, or Red Leaf, cake. Spongy cake with fruit and cream filling, with original, taro, chocolate or strawberry flavors. I passed by today and saw a line out the door, but if you're looking for classic "Chinese" cake, Hong Yeh is your best bet.
8. The Pie Guy
Looking for something different to surprise Mom? Try mini pies from Pie Guy, from Apple pie to lemon meringue to Key Lime-style. Mini pies come in sets of three, and ship to your door.
9. Lady M

I've heard of hardcore Lady M fans lining up at 730AM for cakes at Regent pop up that opened at 11. Their famous mille crepe cakes are made of stacked crepes and creme that reveal themselves when you cut a slice. With a shop now open in Dong Qu, you can try your luck getting one for mom.
