The Sherwood Taipei Launches “Golden State Festival” Event

The Sherwood Taipei’s B-One Buffet kicked off its July dining event, the “Golden State Festival” on July 8. In order to celebrate the cuisine of San Francisco, B-One has introduced authentic Bay Area dishes including Fisherman’s Wharf Chili Crab Royal, seafood chowder, California sushi rolls, and roasted Caribbean Mahi Mahi. Rounding out the menu are American and Tex-Mex classics such as Memphis style BBQ ribs, BBQ beef brisket, grilled sausage, and fajitas. In addition, the Sherwood has invited Jonathan Glover and Stephen Ke, the purveyors of the renowned The Butcher’s Club Burger, to offer their “Original” and “Double Happiness” burgers at B-One. The Butcher’s Club Burger’s “Double Happiness” is made from two jumbo meat patties ground from three different cuts of steak aged 30 days wedged between two grilled cheese sandwich buns with secret sauce, bacon, and more cheese. This monster burger is a flavor bomb that nearly overwhelms your senses with taste and texture and is especially delicious when accompanied by B-One’s duck fat fries. In addition to Chili Crab Royal, guests have a choice of scallops, clams, razor shells, oysters, fish, shrimp, and cuttlefish to fill their chili seafood bucket. The chili sauce is especially tasty but those adverse to spicy food may decide to skip this dish. The BBQ ribs and brisket are smothered in a complicated BBQ sauce that is initially sweet but packs a hidden punch of vinegar flavor. Fajitas are made to order as is one of this reporter’s favorites, seafood penne with cream sauce. Diners can accompany their meals with mojitos and Budweiser beer and finish with rainbow colored cream puffs filled with Haagen-Dazs ice cream. In order to celebrate San Francisco as the “rainbow city,” lunch and dinner guests wearing rainbow colored clothing or accessories will receive a buy-one-get-one-free coupon for B-One’s afternoon tea buffet. Lunch and dinner guests who upload photos taken in B-One’s designated photo area will receive a coupon for OPI nail polish valued at NT$480. Lunch and dinner guests who stream live video of eating hamburgers at B-One while saying “The Sherwood’s hamburgers are No. 1” will receive one bottle of fine wine from France valued at NT$1,200. Lunch and dinner service for the “Golden State Festival” event are available Monday through Sunday. The buffet is NT$1,100 for adults and NT$550 for children on weekdays (Mon-Fri) and NT$1,300 for adults and NT$650 for children on weekends (Sat-Sun). A 10% service charge is applicable to the aforementioned rates. For reservations, please call (02) 2718-1188.
