Taiwan wins second place in Bakery World Cup

Paris, Feb. 9 (CNA) A team from Taiwan won second place at Coupe du Monde de la Boulangerie, or the Bakery World Cup, Tuesday with an assortment of bread that is flavored with popular Taiwanese fruits.

Wang Peng-chieh, Hsieh Chung-yo and Chen Yo-chi used lychee, pineapple, mango, plum and other fruits in their presentations.

South Korea won first place and France was placed third.

Wu Pao-chun, who came to this year's event as the master of the three Taiwanese contestants, won the individual title of Master Baker in the 2010 competition. (By Emmanuelle Tzeng and Jay Chen)
