Acer’s unveils award-winning Predator X34 curved gaming monitor

TAIPEI (Taiwan News) - The high-octane Predator lineup was designed to provide a no-compromise experience in performance for serious gamers that demand the best gear, according to Taiwanese PC giant Acer.

Unveiled in April, the Predator X34 with 34-inch 21:9 UltraWide QHD display was the world’s first curved monitor with NVIDIA® G-SYNC™ technology. It has since won multiple awards, including the Computex d&i (design and innovation) and Computex Top Pick by Windows Central. More recently, it also garnered the Editor’s Choice awards from PCMag, Tweaktown and Hot Hardware, received a full score of 10/10 in GameTyrant’s review, and earned the Golden Pin Award.

The 34-inch curved 21:9 ultra-wide Predator X34 monitor provides an immersive gaming experience with minimal stutters and screen tears, the company said.

The device features DTS® sound, 2x7W speakers, a zero-frame design with a futuristic aluminum base and ambient lighting options create an exciting entertainment experience with style. The Predator X34’s UltraWide QHD (3440 x 1440) IPS panel has a 178-degree viewing angle, and also features flicker-less technology to lessen eye fatigue for a more comfortable gaming or working experience.

Acer believes that curved displays are the trend for extreme gamers; therefore the company launched its second curved gaming monitor in September with the Predator Z35, a bigger 35-inch 21:9 UltraWide Full HD (2560x1080) panel and a curvature of 2000R for a more immersive, dynamic and wraparound gaming experience. This monitor has received the Good Design Award of Japan for design excellence.
