West Indies wins toss, bowls in second test vs. Australia

MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) -- West Indies captain Jason Holder won a rain-delayed toss and sent Australia in to bat in the second test at a cool and damp Melbourne Cricket Ground on Saturday.

Batsman Usman Khawaja returns to Australia's lineup at No. 3 after missing the previous two tests with a left hamstring injury. His inclusion comes at the expense of Shaun Marsh, who scored 182 runs in the opening test at Hobart, which Australia won by an innings and 212 runs.

Opener Joe Burns retains his spot for Australia.

Carlos Brathwaite replaces injured paceman Shannon Gabriel for the West Indies. Brathwaite has played seven one-day internationals.

The toss was delayed by 45 minutes after several days of scorching heat were replaced by cool and wet conditions.
