SYDNEY (AP) -- Steven Lustica and Jamie Maclaren scored late in the second half Saturday to give the Brisbane Roar a 2-1 win over the Wellington Phoenix in an A-League match played in the tropical north Queensland city of Cairns.
Roy Krishna gave Wellington the lead a minute into first-half added time.
The win moved Brisbane into provisional second place, a point behind Western Sydney, which played the third-place Melbourne Victory later Saturday.
On Friday, a last-minute Marcelo Carrusca penalty gave Adelaide United a 2-1 home win over Sydney FC. Sydney played with 10 men from the 28th minute when Alex Gersbach was sent off for a lunging tackle on Jimmy Jeggo.
United was awarded a contentious penalty in the fifth minute of added time for Jacques Faty's foul on Adelaide's Dylan McGowan.
