Two Taiwan universities enter QS graduate employability rankings

Two universities in Taiwan have been listed in the 2016 Graduate Employability Rankings compiled by the UK-based QS education network.

The pilot initiative was released on Nov. 26.

National Taiwan University was listed in the block between 101st and 150th, and National Taipei University of Technology between 151st and 200th.

Topping the list was Stanford University, followed by Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Harvard University, University of Cambridge and Yale University. Among universities in Asia, China's Tsinghua University had the best ranking at 9th, followed by Peking University at 15th.

The rankings are based on five indicators -- employer reputation, partnership with employers, alumni outcomes, employers' presence on campus, and graduate employment rate. (By Chen Chih-chung and Y.F. Low)
