ST. THOMAS, U.S. Virgin Islands (AP) -- Brene Moseley scored a career-high-tying 26 points on 10-of-12 shooting to help No. 6 Maryland rout Old Dominion 95-46 on Thursday in the opener of the Paradise Jam.
Shatori Walker-Kimbrough added 16 points for the Terrapins (4-0), who jumped all over the Monarchs, outscoring them 30-6 in the first quarter. Maryland scored the game's first nine points, including five by Walker-Kimbrough. Her 3-pointer with 13 seconds left in the period made it 30-6.
It didn't get much better for the Monarchs (1-4), who didn't crack double digits until 6:28 remained in the half. That basket came during a 10-3 run for Old Dominion that got them within 38-16. Then Moseley scored the final 10 points of the half for Maryland, which led 48-24 at the break.
Brionna Jones added 10 points for Maryland, which shot 52 percent from the floor and outrebounded the Monarchs 51-38.
Jennie Simms led Old Dominion with 23 points.
