MOFA not to raise travel alert following terrorist attacks in Paris

Taipei, Nov. 14 (CNA) The Ministry of Foreign Affair (MOFA) said Saturday that it will not raise the level of travel alert for France for the time being in the wake of a series of terrorist attacks in Paris overnight. But the ministry called for the public to be alert to security problems and refrain from unnecessary travel to Paris. It said the ministry and its representative office in France will continue to watch closely for the developments after the terrorist attacks, which has caused at least 140 deaths. The Tourism Bureau also said that the 145 tourists from Taiwan's five tour groups currently touring France are all safe. No Taiwanese travel agencies have reported being impacted by the attacks, the bureau said. (By Tai Ya-chen and Lilain Wu) Enditme/cs
