STOCKHOLM (AP) -- Norway's security service PST says two men have been arrested for suspected links to the Islamic State militant group.
PST spokeswoman Siv Alsen said Friday that a 26-year-old man was arrested Wednesday when he returned to Oslo from Turkey. He is suspected of having been a foreign fighter for IS.
Alsen said the other suspect is a 31-year-old man who was arrested in Norway early Friday. She said PST suspects he had previously been a foreign fighter for IS and was planning to return to the Middle East to rejoin the group.
Both are Norwegian citizens. Alsen said they face charges of preparing to join or participating in a terror organization, a crime punishable by up to six years in prison.
