One Taiwanese injured in deadly Seattle traffic accident

Taipei, Sept. 25 (CNA) One Taiwanese national was injured in a fatal traffic accident in Seattle Friday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed later that day. The accident, which involved a charter bus carrying international exchange students, a "duck tour" bus and two cars in central Seattle, has left at least four dead and dozens more injured, according to local police. The Taiwanese, suffering suspected concussion, remained unconscious, the ministry said. Family members of the injured person are being helped with travel arrangements to provide assistance, the ministry said, adding that it is unclear whether any other Taiwanese were involved in the crash. According to the Associated Press, all four of the dead were international students studying at North Seattle College. Among the injured, 15 were listed in critical condition at Seattle-area hospitals, while in all, 51 people were injured seriously enough to be taken to eight hospitals, the AP reported.
