VIENNA (AP) -- Austrian prosecutors are looking into an alleged doping infringement by Olympic cross-country skier Harald Wurm.
The Austrian anti-doping agency has confirmed local media reports by saying Monday the 31-year-old athlete has been under investigation by police.
NADA spokesman David Muller says the agency "has been informed about this case and we are closely cooperating with the investigating authorities," adding he isn't allowed to share details about an ongoing investigation.
The Austrian ski federation says it hasn't been informed yet, while state prosecution declined to comment. Wurm could not immediately be reached for comment.
Wurm won the under-23 world title in 2006 and has four top-10 World Cup finishes. He competed in the sprint events of the 2006 and 2014 Olympics, finishing 24th and 23rd respectively.
