ANKARA, Turkey (AP) -- Officials say at least eight people have been killed in northeast Turkey from heavy floods and a landslide triggered by torrential rains.
The governor's office for Artvin province, near Turkey's border with Georgia, said two other people were reported missing Monday in the flooding.
Three victims were trapped inside a house which collapsed in the town of Hopa, on Turkey's Black Sea coast, according to a statement from the governor's office.
There was no immediate information on the other victims.
Rescue teams were trying to reach people stranded by the floods.
